ULTRASOUND
A-SCAN
|
This is an ultrasonography instrument used for measuring
various ocular dimensions and echodensity of structures
in the orbit. Its primary use is in the calculation
of power of intraocular lens implant.
It can measure dimensions like:
- Axial length of eyeball.
- Depth of anterior chamber.
- Lens thickness.
It can be used for localization and characterization
of intraocular mass or a foreign body.
|
|
B-SCAN
This is also an ultrasonography instrument used for a sectional
imaging of orbital contents including the eyeball. It can
be used for localizing and defining the extent of an orbital/intraocular
mass or a foreign body Combined with vector A-Scan it is used
to characterizing the nature of a mass/foreign body.
It is most useful in detecting posterior segment pathologies
(in cases of media opacity, Occlusio Pupillae and poorly dilating
pupil) like:
Viterous haemmorhage
Retinal/Choroidal detachmant
Proliferative viteroretinopathy
Tractional bands
Organised exudates
Neoplasms
Cilary body tumors
Foreign body etc.
VISUAL FIELD ANALYSER
|
This is a fully automated and computerised instrument
for recording and analysing the visual fields. It is
useful in detection and follow up of Glauscoma and neurological
disorders involving visual pathways.
It is fast , accurate and reproductible.
Its advanced software keep track of improvement/ detoriation
of condition when test are performed serially. The screening
test are fast and reliable test for the detection of
glaucoma/neurological field defects.
The diagnostic (threshold) tests (like central 30-2
Glaucoma Hemifield Test) are valuable in accurately
analysing the Glaucomatous field defects and their progression.

|
FUNDUS CAMERA
|
This instrument is useful for photographing the fundus
of the eye. Photographic records of progressive retinal/vascular
pathologies can be kept for follow up purposes.
It is used for Fluorescin angiography for detailed information
of vascular dynamics of the retinal blood vessels.
This is of use in:
Diabetic Retinopathy
Hypertenive Retinopathy
Mascular Pathologies like cytoid mascular oedema, mascular
hole, age related mascular degeneration.
Central serous retinopathy, etc.
|
|
DOUBLE FREQUENCY ND YAG LASER
(Equivalent to Argon Green Retinal Laser)
|
This laser equipment is used for treating retinal conditions.
It is useful for laser photocoagulation of retina in:
Diabetic maculopathy/Retinopathy and proliferative
diabetic retinopathy
Hypertensive retinopathy
Vasculities
Eales Disease
Vascular blocks like crvo and brvo
Angiomatosis
Mascular denegration
Central serous retinopathy
Retinal pigment epithelium detachment
|
|
YAG :LASER
|
Laser equipment for Non-Invasive, surgical , Procedures
in the eye Used for:
Posterior capsulotomy in case of after cataract.
Peripheral iridectomy in angle-closure glaucoma
Synechiolysis
Pupilloplasty
Yag disruption of posterior byaloid face in case
of mascular hemmorahage
Yag sweeping of pigment deposit on IOL.
Disruption of ant. Vitreous face in case of Malignant
glaucoma.

SYNAPTOPHORE
This Machine is used in strabismus (Squint) and other eye
muscle insufficiences.
its important use is in orthoptic check UP, Eye exercise in
asthenopias specially in children.
