Sheetla Hospital has served the families of Gurgaon & nearby areas for more than six years. On 20 Sept 2005 ,It organized a Free Educative seminar on EYE & EYE CARE for students of Govt. Girls College at Govt. Girls College Mehrauli Road, Gurgaon .More than 200 students attended the Session.

On this occasion Dr Ajay Sharma Sr Eye Surgeon & President of 'Gurgaon Ophthalmology Society' were present for presentation on Eye and Eye Care, He told the gathering about importance of Eye -Care. Like any other organ eyes are also vulnerable to stress and strain which over time manifest as diseases/ disorders of the eye. People generally tend to ignore these problems of the eye until they develop into serious ones and begin to affect the activities of daily life.
The audio visual session also included topics on structure of eye, functioning of eye, eye care tips, common eye ailments and latest options for correction of refractive Errors.

Dr Ajay Sharma informed that many of the eye problems can be prevented, controlled and cured if detected at an early stage .With explosive growth in IT sector and entertainment industry, use of computers and television have become part of life. This has given rise to a steep increase in eye related disorders, most common being refractive errors.

The Session was orgainsed with the active support of Prof Dhanerwal -Head of Zoology department, Govt. College .Principal Ms Indu Chadda was also present on the occasion and encouraged the faculty for such educative initiatives.
